Lara Croft krijgt haar eigen straat

In de Engelse stad Derby is gevraagd om suggesties voor nieuwe straatnamen. Daar is massaal op gereageerd en het aantal namen is teruggebracht naar 8. Onder deze 8 namen was de Lara Croft street. Er kon gekozen worden via internet en een “staggering” 89% koos voor Lara croft.

“The vote really captured the imagination of people from across the world and, despite my lack of gaming knowledge, I accept that a majority of 89% for Lara Croft is too overwhelming to ignore,She was created in Derby and deserves to stand alongside some of the more traditional icons of the city.”
