Warner Bros. koopt Turbine op

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group heeft de overname van de MMORPG-studio Turbine Inc. bekend gemaakt. Turbine is de grootste privé online gaming studio in de USA, waardoor Warner Bros. een nog grotere positie krijgt in de gaming industrie.

Home Entertainment Group. “Turbine’s renowned online game development and publishing expertise will help us develop additional online product offerings, while also providing us with new and innovative ways to market and communicate with our consumers.”

Turbine, een bedrijf dat al een goede 15 jaar bestaat, is onder andere bekend van Dungeons & Dragons Online®: Eberron Unlimited™ en The Lord of the Rings Online™. Warner Bros. had al een behoorlijke vinger in de pap, maar nu zijn alle rechten officieel eigendom van onze geliefde filmproducentjes.
