Nog steeds speel ik graag een potje Battlefield 2, want sinds dat ik deze op de release nacht speelde in het Rotterdamese GameSyndicate was ik verkocht aan deze shooter. Hierna kwam nog Battlefield 2142 uit die opzich best wel vet is, maar het blijft een scifi shooter en ik wil realisme. Maar de website DigitalBattle.com kreeg een PDF in bezit met daarin een hele hoop informatie over Battlefield 3, informatie die eigenlijk pas over twee maanden bekend had mogen worden. Toen de website om een reactie vroeg aan Electronic Arts en Dice kregen ze geen antwoord, en je weet mensen die zwijgen stemmen toe.

A map is mentioned by name, called “Baghdad Burning”, and appears to be a massive urban map, similar to BF2’s very popular “Strike at Karkand”. The game is powered by “Frotbite DX”, currently the Frostbite engine is used in Battlefiled: Bad Company on PS3 and Xbox 360. The “DX” could refer to DirectX (10?), a PC version of the Frostbite engine.
